The construction of the Kale Weir and HEPP project in Amasya province began in 2011. The project situated on the Yeşilırmak River received provisional acceptance in March 2013 and was subsequently commissioned. Featuring three vertical Kaplan turbines with individual capacities of 10 MWm, the project boasts a total installed capacity of 30.00 MWm. Leveraging a project flow rate of 110 m³/sec and a gross head of 36.5 m, the project's annual generation capacity amounts to 109 GWh.
