The construction of the Sena Weir and HEPP project in Kars province began in 2011. The project situated on the Aras River received provisional acceptance in August 2013 and was subsequently commissioned. Featuring two vertical Kaplan turbines with individual capacities of 11.05 MWm, the project boasts a total installed capacity of 22.10 MWm. Leveraging a project flow rate of 93 m³/sec and a gross head of 26.17 m, the project's annual generation capacity amounts to 67 GWh.
